G Skill ARES memory voltage

I recently came across an 8GB memory module kit from GSkill, particularly this one:

Gskill Ares F3-2133C10D-8GAB RAM

Now, the thing is that the memory is rated to operate at 1.6V whereas usually DDR3 modules run at 1.5V or lower.

Will any motherboard support that menory?

If the board has 1866 listed it should work. I run 1.65v 2133 GSkill sniper ram in my system. Alot of the faster ddr3 runs a 1.6-1.65v.

Board is the MSI-Z97 Gaming 5 or the ASUS Z97-A

Also is Sniper better than Ares?

Yes it should be fine, most all DRAM 2133 and up is 1.6-1.65 and is perfectly safe. The Sniper series is stronger (more OC headroom than the Ares

I usually use the Sniper , but Ares is decent.
