Question G.Skill...but what type?

I want to upgrade/expand my RAM to 32 GB...I have an Intel i7-6700K running @ 4 GHz., in an ASRock Z170 Extreme6 mobo. I went to the Intel site and it says that my processor will support DDR4-1866/2133 memory types. The ASRock website, on the other hand, says that my mobo will support much faster DDR4 memory modules. So, which G.Skill memory modules should I buy...4x8 DDR4 2133? Or can I go to 2x16 DDR4 3000? Thanks in advance!

2x16 is the better choice , puts less stress on the Memory controller. Go DDR4 3000mhz.

shows 16gbx2 at 3000mhz is compatible with your MB.
(and brand doesnt really cause issues as its just brand)

Thanks, guys! Just one more quick question: when installing the 2x16GB modules should I put them in slots 1&2 or in slots 1&3?

Usually A2 \ B2 , but check manual for this.

A2 and B2 \ A1 and B1 ...Both can be used , I would try A2 and B2 first.

They should be installed in Slots A2 and B2.
