Good day to all,
I have recently jumped from the old good LGA775 platform to the latest LGA1150, with a Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP Motherboard, an Intel i3-4330 CPU (Haswell) and an Aegis 16GB RAM kit from G.Skill. While trying to build my new PC, I noticed that the mobo BIOS supports XMP RAM DIMMs.
What I don't know is:
- Does the i3-4330 support XMP?
- Is my G.Skill kit XMP compatible? For your guidance, if someone checks the G.Skill site, he (or she) can see that there is a note saying:
Intel XMP Support
All G.SKILL DDR3 memory come with the latest Intel XMP standard developed for Intel platform. It provides PC enthusiasts an entirely trouble-free overclocking experience to boost their Intel® systems for extreme levels of performance, while retaining system stability.
But this note can only be found under certain model pages, presumably the top ones. I was not able to find it under the Aegis models.
I would appreciate if someone could clarify these two issues for me.
Thanks.
