hi,

im trying to find some answers but not having much luck. ive overclocked my ram from the base 2400MHZ to 3060MHZ before the highest it let me was 2933MHZ but checking the "use odd ratio" option let it goto 3060MHZ using 1.3v

the orig timings are 15-15-15-35 can i adjust these timing to squeeze any extra performance or is my set up the max i can get whilst running safe?

Solution
Played around with it wouldn't post anything over 3066mhz pc won't boot and goes to bios.

Tried bumping to 1.35v 1.40v still no luck. Next I loosened timing 15 to 16 to 18 still no boot. Il keep it as is 3066mhz is good enough from the xmp 2400 the ram came with.

Thanks for your assistance, Il buy quicker ram on next build
If you have a Ryzen 1000 or 2000 series CPU 3066 MHz is fine.
For a 2000 series CPU 3200 MHz seems to be the sweet spot but you aren't losing much performance at 3066 MHz.
Other than on benchmarks the difference is probably not even noticeable.

Thaiphoon Burner and the DRAM Calculator may help you get tighter timings:

Even 1.50V is fine as long as the system takes advantage of it, however if you hit a limit (ie. more Voltage does not improve stability), then you will need to turn to increasing timings to increase DRAM Frequency. Another method is to relax timings to find the highest DRAM Frequency the CPU IMC can support, then lower timings to see what values work best. In any case, use benchmark test to see which set up performs best.
