Hi,

As stated above i'm not able to boot with 16Gb of ram no matter in which combination i try, it seems that a maximum of 12Gb will boot.
With 3 sticks in A1-C1 everything seems to be fine, with all 4 sticks in i get error "b7" on the mainboard display.
I also tried to reinstall the CPU, reset BIOS, got the ram in in the right order and booted with single-, dual- and tri-channel ram.
A2-B2 seem to not accept any ram.
BIOS is up to date, i got no problem running 12Gb @ 3000.
Also i checked the board for any bent pins but i couldnt find any.

Here's a list of the components:

i7 5820k stock
Noctua NH-D15
Asrock X99 Extreme6
Samsung SM951 M.2 SSD
G.Skill F4-3000C15Q 16Gb (4x 4 Gb)
Asus GTX750 DCSL
Bequiet pure power 630w

Any suggestions what the issue could be here?
I thought of simply returning the board and getting a new one but before doing that i'd like to get some opinions.

Thanks in Advance

We have many DDR4-2666+ kits, the problem is whether the motherboard and UEFI can support that high of a frequency. Generally it can require some manual tweaks, but in any case DDR4-3000 is stressful for the CPU.

For this particular case, he is not attempting a high frequency yet, he's just trying to get the system to work smooth on standard settings and that's not happening so it may be a hardware issue.
