I am going to be building a new system I have looked at 2 different sets of memory I wanted some ram that overclocks a bit and runs stable. Here are the 2 options a found.

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

SUPER TALENT 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

I have looked all around for reviews and found no specific reviews on these perticular models. But I know I have heard great things about both especially the super talent. Also I was wanting to get 4gigs would that pose a problem I know that 32-bit windows will not read it all but thats ok with me I may upgrade soon to 64-bit.

Ease of getting it replaced it it craps out is a plus also but newegg will replace within 3 months anyway and if it runs for 3 months it will probably keep going. They would probly replace it after the 3 months are up at newegg from what I hear.

Also the computer will be as follows.
E6750
Antec P182
Corsair 520W PSU
8800GTS 320MB
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P
WD Caviar RE2 500GB

Processor will be cooled with a ZeroTherm BTF90 and I was wondering How much of an overclock I could do and still stay in temp limits without hurting anything.

I Was thinking maybe 450x8 but didn't know if the Northbridge would get too hot.
400x8 or 425x8 might be better I really have no idea.

I'm really into computers but have never built one from scratch before I have taken them compleatly apart and swaped towers before and changed a mobo but thats it. I really want to get into a bit of overclocking and just have a little fun.

Also can you tell a big speed difference between CAS 5 and CAS 4; just wondering.

I'm leaning twards 4gigs of the 2 that I mentioned.

Generally lower timing will increase the rams OC ability. As for noticing a difference between CAS 4 and 5 id doubt it, there should be a difference in memory benchmarking but that about it.

I dont think ull find 2x2gb with that low a timing. But 4gb will be better than 2 ;)
