[SOLVED] G.Skill Ripjaws V 2400 not working with XMP on new motherboard

Hey all,

I have been running this specific RAM kit at 3066mhz with low timings for years on my X370 + Ryzen 1700x build; recently I upgraded to a MSI PRO-A Z590 + i5 11600k and the PC will crash if I try and use the XMP profile.

This kit is rated for 2400mhz, and should XMP to that. But it won't... it's stable at 2133 though. I don't understand, I know this kit is capable of at least 2400mhz... and I know the difference isn't huge, and I know things can vary between platforms, but still. I also tried manually entering the timings and RAM speed to the rated stuff, no luck.

I tried my girlfriend's Ripjaws V (rated at 3200mhz) kit and it DOES work with the XMP profile. What the heck? I know this may not matter much, but I do like the color of the heat spreaders and would like to keep the kit if possible.

Set XMP then up the volts to 1.25

If that works bump it to 2666 @ 1.3 volts if it works try 3000 @ 1.35 volts
