G.Skill Ripjaws V RAM Compatibility

Hey there,

So I was looking to buy a new pc, so I dropped in at Newgg and saw this RAM was cheap and ran at 2800MHz. The model is F4-2800C17D-16GVR. I just can't seem to find it anywhere on G.Skill's website, so I'm wondering whether this is a phony product. I'm looking to pair it with a Z170 Pro4s by Asrock.

So will this memory be compatible? Is this really G.Skill memory? Does it run at the 2800MHz or have I misunderstood?

It's real, but I'm guessing they dropped the 1 or that's the USD price, should be $174.00 AUD. I doubt they will ship it to you at that price, probably just cancel the order. Heck of a deal if it isn't a misprint.

Yes but that seems to be a different model number to the one I specified. Will this memory even work?

It's not on the QVL, but it should. Looks to be an older model since it is case latency 17 and the newer stuff is 14/15/16.
