G.Skill Ripjaws X or Corsair Vengeance Red

Hi,

I'm looking at building the first PC that I've actually built.

I'm looking at RAM, and it appears that 8 gigs of both are about $85(USD). So which performs better?

All depends on the models ou are looking at Ripjaws X range across the scale from 1066 up through 2400 sticks, and a variety of CLs at different freqs, of the two brands/models in general though the Ripjaw X are normally stronger better sticks with OC headroom

Compare the specifications of the RAM, DRAM Frequency, timings, and voltage.

If they are exactly the same, just get the one you like better or cheaper. =)

Agree with both above. Though if not overclocking, the difference in performance you would see are too minimal to notice,

Both have the same timings, I'd pick the Ripjaws based on looks
