I can get these two rams at the same price, I know from the specs the cl9 is better than cl11 since they have the same frenquecy,So which one should I go with ?
They both run at 1.65v. I only want to use them at 1.5V, is it possible to lower the voltage, and what will be the frenquency and LC when I run them at 1.5V.

The problem with the reviews at the Egg and the same here, is that few people really know DRAM, so you see many saying bad sticks when they have bought high freq and tried to use on AMD (the 8350 can only really run to 1866), they don't know to enable XMP so they are at default of 1333 or 1600, or they buy and try and mix DRAM, I've been using GSkill for about 5 years now, upwards of 75 sets a year and haven't had a failure, am also a Admin and their forums and the 3 listed items above are what cause most of the 'failed' DRAM, about 85+ % of all RMAs are actually perfectly fine sticks

Go with the Ares CL9 set or look for the Ripaws, Sniper or Tridents in a like config of CL9...All are 1.65 which is perfectly safe for that freq, most every 2133 and up set is 1.65 with a few at 1.6. If Intel, it specifies 1.5 but also Intel is looking at no higher than 1600 sticks with it's CPUs. I stick with 1.5 for 1866 and under then 1.6-1.65 for 2133 and up (don't go over 1.65 for spec)....On the other hand, if AMD may want to think of dropping to 1866 - not many AMDs even the 8350 can run 2133 at 2133

the sniper is little bit tall to fit under my cpu cooler. what about [ G.skill ripjaws x pc3-12800 CL10 2X8GB ] and [ Kingston Hyperx Beast pc3-12800 CL9 2X8GB ] is there going to be any difference in speed regarding CL9 in kingston vs CL10 in G.Skill ?

it's noctua nh-u12p which also has adjustable fan. I would have bough the Ripjaws x cl10 since it fit under the heat sink without adjusting the fan, but from newegg it has a high rate of failure compared to the same model Ripjaws x cl9.
