Will G.SKILL Sniper Model F3-1866C9D-16GSR ram work with an Asrock 990fx extreme6 mobo . Couldnt find anything but I thought it should be backwards compatible ?"

My build is going to be Asrock 990FX Extreme6 Motherboard with FX 6350 cpu and R9 290 Gpu and the Sniper ram in a old zigmatek case and evga supernova 850 bronze power supply

So long as it's DDR3 memory and conforms to the slot on your motherboard, you're good to go. Just make sure you're on the latest BIOS update before you tinker with the ram kit to take it to DDDR3-1866MHz.

Asrock mobo , Fx6350 cpu , 2@8gb sniper ram , R9 290 gpu . These are parts I had and need to make me a computer to replace my lighting struck laptop
