Marketing bull and production of faster RAM that doesn't provide real world advantages. Even Triple Channel on i7 doesnt seem to provide much difference compared to Dual in real world apps.

I really enjoy my Core 2 Duo 3,066MHz with 6,144kb of cache memory. It fits well with my 4,294,967,296 bytes of DDR2-800 memory.

It's 200Mhz memory on 16V =>2Ghz
