Hey guys... I just bought a new 144 hz monitor with G-Sync
but when im for example are playing BF1, my GPU's memory and everything clocks up to the highest it can get and stays there
I have a Asus GTX 1070 Strix

when im idle the clocks stays around 150 mhz...

i know there is a problem with Nvidia's G sync and 144 hz on theres graphics cards... but i have searched everywhere and tried everything in the nvidia controle panel

could you just put the issue in one or two comprehensive sentences?

from what I've been gathering so far, you bought a new monitor, your PSU is louder than before,
your GPU works at peak efficiency when gaming but clocks down when idling, as it should as it doesn't need 100% workload when idling on desktop
I still don't understand what your issue is with that?

do you get bad frame rates?
does G-Sync not work?
do you not get the 144Hz?
do you get crashes?

I've got an corsair cx750m PSU and my monitors resolution is 1920x1080

I get the 144 hz and G sync works fine... it's just ever since i got the monitor my power supply started sounding weird and my clocks started going up.
im sorry but im new to all of these things

clocks go up because the screen puts a lot of load on the GPU.

144Hz idle means more load than 60hz idle

144Hz/1440p to 1080p/60Hz is like 3 times as much work for the GPU
therefore your GPU has to work harder and might draw more power than before making your PSU-fan spin up and produce more noise (except it's a noise that can't be related to a sped up fan)

My PSU is a Corsair CX750M
