[SOLVED] G-sync compatible on freesync monitor

Recently nvidia support freesync monitor and i have gtx1060 and freesync monitor, but the monitor itself doesnt have dp port, will a converter hdmi to dp works ?

Right now I freesync only works with display port and not HDMI. A converter wont solve this issue. Nvidia may be able to release a driver update down the road that will change it, but it may not be that easy or one would think they would have done it last week with the initial release.

No using an adaptor will not work.you can try it but from what i have heard other ppl have tried this and they say it doesnt work. i have wondered about this as well.but this questions has been getting asked as soon as they annouced this at CES and from the reports they say no it does not work

like the first reply VRR only works through displayport with nvidia cards
