There have been a lot problems for Asus ROG Swift 1440p monitors with G-sync since they overclocked G-sync to support 1440p+144hz. They also added some passive cooler but that wasn't good enough. After several month the monitor goes unstable due G-sync-overheat.

"Being a 2560x1440 display at 144Hz, can we then assume that it will require an overclocked G-Sync module because it's outside of the default G-sync spec? That didn't work out too well for Asus from the sounds of it, with complaints of overheating. Having this type of hardware running outside of official spec just seems to be asking for trouble. "

"Probably the Overclocked Gsync Module they shoulda considered active cooling or some sorta cooling. It's a disaster waiting to happen. "

I have seen many more forums about this issue where their monitor where completely unstable/unusable.

But what about other brands? Like Acer, Dell that also have 1440p+144hz with G-sync? Did they overclock it as well or did nvivida released an improved G-sync that they used instead after Asus fiasco?

Not that hard. IF you google the model and "overheating" or "overclocking" you should find out pretty easily.

I believe it as well, but's hard to know if brands like Acer or Dell used the improved G-synch module or overclocked it like Asus before Nvidia released an improved the module.
