Hi All,

I am looking at getting a new monitor, I currently have a Samsung S27D590.

I have a i5 4690k and a GTX970 graphics card, 8GB ram.

I want to replace current with a 27 inch model also.

I have seen the new g-sync monitors and believe that's what is compatible with my graphics card.

I am looking at the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q but have heard the color is bad and can be grainy.

Are there any others that would be good for my set up?

I play CSGO, Dota, WoW.

Thanks

Well you can either get Acer's XB270HU (which is IPS) or wait for acer's own PG279Q, which PG278Q but IPS.

Although to be honest, apart from maybe the graininess of the AR coating (it's one of the grainiest coating currently on the market), a lot of Swift's criticisers are basing their opinion on the letters TN.

Sure, TN's viewing angle is bad, but Swift for being a TN is pretty good, viewing angles being the only deficiency, and only when you are looking for that deficiency specifically.

However, since Acer's XB270HU is otherwise the same specs as Swift, except for the response time and IPS/TN, and the same cost, I would also choose IPS.
