So i've got an issue with G-sync.

I got a Nvidia geforce 2070 8gb super GPU.

And just a few weeks ago i got a new gaming monitor the " TUF gaming VG27B ".
This screen should be G-sync compatible yet when i open up the Nvidia control panel for some reason it say's it's not compatible.

I am using my Display port and not my HDMI one.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I've exactly the same issue :

My VG27B is not recognised as G-Sync Compatible although I've got a big advert when I start it mentionning it should :-(

  1. I've installed the driver for the screen, updated the nvidia drivers.
  2. I'v tried using HDMI or Display Port (both should work according to the user guide)
  3. The frequency of my screen is set to 144 Hz.
  4. Tried with RTX 2070 Super and GTX 1060 : same behavior.
  5. In the monitor's config, Adaptive-Sync and ELMB SYNC are set to ON.

Any help yould apreciated.

Cheers

Got a lead : in nvidia control panel, if you click on the display menu and activate G-Sync compatibility indicator, you will get a GSYNC-ON in overlay whenever G-SYNC is actually required and activated.

For me, it's only en I play games.

Then, I can see, in the configuration menu of my monitor that the frequency varies and follows the frame rate.

So the message " Selected display is not validated as G-SYNC Compatible " in the nvidia control panel might be a bug prenventing the nvidia drivers to see the g-sync compatibility until g-sync is actually required....
