G-sync problems, Gears of War 4

I have a laptop with a g-sync monitor. I've recently bought Gears of War 4, the game runs well, but if I change the resolution, g-sync turns off. The only way to play with g-sync is with the native resolution, but I would really want to change it. Every other game runs perfectly with g-sync even with a different resolution. Is there anything I could do? G-sync is enabled for fullscreen and windowed.

why would you change the native resolution? i haven't really grasp your need for changing the resolution.
is there anyway to set the game resolution outside the game? like settings.ini file or user.cfg? just in case the problem is the switching process between each resolution that renders the g-sync off.
