Hi There!

Little question about the proper setup for my pc. Im currently running a g1 gamining 980ti along with an Antec Edge 750w psu. Both have been running fine for almost 12 months now aside from some coil whine which only seems to occur when gaming. As soon as a game is opened the whine begins, if i alt tab to the desktop, the whine stops. At first I ignored this however, looking for fixes now I've come to question my cabling. Currently I'm using a single cable which connects to an 8-pin slot on the psu and has 8 + 6+2 pin headers on the other end. Kind of like this: http://images.bit-tech.net/content_images/2008/11/cooler-master-ucp-ultimate-900w-psu/pcie-8.jpg but obviously with 16 on one side and 8 on the other.

I would just like to question as to whether or not is better to run two separate 8 pin cables coming from separate slots in the psu to the gpu. Or just running the single 8 +6+2 pin cable is sufficient for the gpu.

Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, more than happy to clarify and take pics if need be when i get home :)
