G230 logitech stereo headset mic isn't working

I have tried so many tutorials on how to fix the mic but none of them seem to work many of them have made no changes, all im trying to do is speak to my friends on discord the problem isn't discord ive tried nearly everything and i still can't get the microphone to work. If you think you know the solution then please help, thanks.
