G2460PF freesync feature with with 390x?

considering buying an AOC G2460PF freesync monitor for my 390x, I don't think my gpu has a display port connector, will I be able to use the freesync feature?

HDMI over freesync supported from 35-120htz , rather than to 144htz which you'd get with dp connection.

So yes it'll work but at that slightly limited range.

Dvi dual link supports the whole 25-144htz freesync spectrum , you get a dvi cable & an audio cable with the monitor so there's no reason not to use it.

I highly doubt your 390X has no DP connectors. Look again, or post a picture.

FreeSync is only supported over HDMI on select monitors, not just on any FreeSync monitor.

DVI does not have any support for FreeSync, you can try to force it with CRU but it does not work on most monitors.

^ yeah you're right about dvi - allows the full 144htz but no freesync.

Regarding HDMI freesync - looks kind of sketchy , 2015 models of that monitor only supported dp freesync , toms themselves reviewed in 2016 & the one they had supported freesync over HDMI 35-120htz.

As you said though , looking now DP is on amd's spec sheet for the 380,380x,390,390 so I doubt a manufacturer has produced a card without it
