Got a question here that every damn pc shop runs from when i ask it. I am buying a ASUS A7N8X mobo to suit a athlon 2600 chip. My question is will an old G2ti 4xagp card run on the new 8x agp board without blowing card or mobo?

I am saving for a good 3d card but just want to get the sys running with the old card first.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it :)

sorry forgot to mention that about half the pc shops say it may work and the other half say that it will blow the card, mobo or even both.

I see that T/H has done benchmarks on the g2ti on the A7N8X so to me that says that it can be done.

Could someone please confirm this. Does anyone out there have this 3d card and board so i KNOW for sure it works.

The card is a g2ti generic brand (DAYTONA)

Your GF2 will be fine on the A7N8X. Those people saying that things will blow, are probably just trying to sell you a new video-card!
