Hi i want to know about the overclocking capabilities of G31 chipset motherboards i know about G33 and P35 they are great overclockers but problem is that they are too expensive for me.I can purchase XFX 630i too but i have listened that it doesn't supports dual channel memory. But still i can go wid it if dual channel doesn't matters much but i want to push my e2180 to 3ghz at least.

I want to know that have u yourself overclocked it or u have seen your friends overclocking it or u are saying this by seeing internet reviews. Because i have seen many reviews against G31 for overclocking. I want to clear i m not an extreme overclocker just want to do it for the first time.So G31 is enuf for me to push my E2180 to 3ghz at least.

what about Intel's or Asus g31?cuz in my area gigabyte is very rare

The other motherboards don't seem to get as high an overclock as the Gigabyte, especially the Intel boards. If you can't get a Gigabyte G31 board i'd seriously consider going with a P35 instead.
