G31M3-L V2 best gpu to get?

What would be the best graphics card to get for my MSI G31M3-L V2(MS-7529) mobo
paired with a q9550 and 4gbs ddr2

I would probably go with something like a GTX 1050 with that.

I'd say a GTX 1060 is too much for that CPU based on my experiences with 1060s.

I'm not real familiar with AMD....so I'm not going to comment on AMD cards.
