So im building a portable gaming pc, and i wondered which one would be better for gaming and if it is worth paying extra for the better one.

£350 and the only necessary thing is the Cooler Master Elite 130 case(i love that case) , the rest i dont really care as long as it plays games

thanks so much for doing this, would this be able to run chivalry medieval warrior at max settings?

would an i3 2120 beat this cpu?

Yes, an i3 2120 should be a bit faster. I will check and see if I can find some comparison.

Edit* In games only using 1-2 cores, the Pentium G would be faster. Overall system performance would be a bit better with the i3, if you are running anything in the background. I would probably stick with the Pentium G for the better upgrade path.

would there be a noticeable bottleneck between a g3220 and a 750ti (i know that word is over used but i just wondered if the gpu would be severely limited by the cpu)?

I think that build should run Chivalry: Medieval Warrior.

You will be fine with a Pentium G and a gtx 750ti. In some more cpu intensive titles, the CPU will limit you some. For what you want to play, you are fine. Again, you have an upgrade path to a better CPU later on, should you need it. You could easily put in an i5 4440 or a Xeon 1230 v3.

my plan was to use the g3220 for a few months then buy a xeon 1230 v3
