Which better?
G3258 (OC) with GTX 960 4GB or i3 4170 with GTX 760 4GB?
Both is at the same price.

I mostly play games like BF4, CSGO, GTA V, and some upcoming games.

Solution
Personally I would go for the GTX 760 and the I3. Although I would buy the unlocked K version of the i3 and a good after market cooler after to overclock it, probably near the 4.5ghz mark.

The reason I would go for the i3 as it will help in more in current games, like BF4 and GTAV which are highly CPU intensive as well. Overclocked it should be able to keep up. As for the GTX 960 vs the 760, they actually perform quite close to each other however neither has enough processing to use the 4gb's of Vram. Also as the 960 is more expensive it is not worth it.
Although I would highly recommend you save up a little more and buy in the i5 range and a GTX 970 for great gaming in those games.

Short answer: the 2nd build may be a better choice...

Short answer: the 2nd build may be a better choice for price/performance, however the i3 still may bottleneck the GTX 760. If you can save up a little more that would be better.

I highly doubt a pentium will clock as high as 6ghz, you're very lucky to hit 5ghz. They clock well but not that well.
When both chips are overclocked the I3 will come out on top in all scenarios. Especially in GTA V.

Although OP I 2nd the idea of a r9 280x instead or r9 280. Beats both the GTX 960 and 760, can compete with the GTX 770 for cheaper.

FX 6300 and 760/R9 280, that Witcher 3 video really shows that when the rubber meets the road and you're in a city, more cores are important.

Don't buy a Pentium unless you play older games or use emulators heavily. If the FX is a no-no, buy the i3.
