G3258 or fx 6300

So im wondering, should i choose the g3258 or fx 6300?

Im more tempted to choose the g3258 over fx6300 for upgradibility and crazy overclocking but then it just has 2 cores.

Im going to use it with a r9 270x btw

it depands what games you will play,if game can use more than 2 core go with amd if not go with intel

if your plan is to upgrade the chip in the short run... go intel.

otherwise you may get better mileage out of the more cores in the amd.

This would be different if you were talking about an i3, but you aren't. The FX-6300 blows the Pentium G3258 out of the water in pretty much every aspect and it can overclock just as well as the Pentium. But if are wanting to go with Intel, go with an i3-4150; it beats the FX-6300 and isn't much more expensive than the Pentium.
