G3258 overclock question help!

I am thinking about making a new PC with a g3258 i have lying around. I want to overclock it to 4.0ghz. The motherboard limits voltage to 1.2. I am wondering if my PSU would work with an overclock. I only play light games like LoL and CS:GO.

CPU Cooler:Hyper 212 Evo or TX3
Motherboard:Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2V
Graphics: PNY GTX 460 (Purchased)
Ram: Crucial Ballistx 8gb (2x4gb)
Power Supply: thermaltake tr2 600w (Purchased)
Hard Drives: (1)80gb and (1)120gb

PSU has way more then enough juice. If you haven't bought the motherboard yet I would reccomend an ASUS board as with the newest bios updates most of there boards support overclocking even there cheap ones

People have OCed to 4.6 Ghz on ASUS H81M-C and upto 4.7 on ASRock H81 Pro BTC. Either of these will cost you just $12 more than Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2V. And yes, you have got enough power with that PSU, as ajhockey3 said.

Yup I would just recomend using some better thermal paste then what came with it. Like Arctic Silver or Arctic MX-4

Not really only by a little. People get the pentium G3258 overclocked well with the stock heatsink. However the thermal paste that comes with the 212 Evo is better. If you want to go middle of the road you could go for the Hyper T4 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103182
