G3258 safe temps while gaming?

so I've overclocked my cpu to 4.1ghz and I got 88 degrees celsius max while gaming, will the life span of my cpu decrease quickly if i continue with this temperature? (using the stock cooler)

That temperature is only just within the limits of that processor.
I suggest a 3rd party cooling solution. Almost anything is better than stock.

88c is getting close to max, i would get a aftermarket cooler. my G3258 was around 85c at 4.2GHz with stock cooler
