Hello all,
I have a G3258 (like a lot of people sorry if your getting sick of these questions)
I cant seem to get past 4.4ghz even at 1.4v . Im using the MSI Z97 PC mate and ive seen people hit stuff like 4.7 at 1.4v.
I got to the windows loading screen on 4.5 but then it froze and I reset my PC but it came up with the MSI A2 error so I reset the CMOS by removing the battery.

Is it my fault or the hardware, all I have changed is both multipliers to 44/45 and the CPU voltage, do I need to change anything else.
Ive heard of lousy CPUs but this is just downright disappointing

Solution
It might just be the processor. Not all processors are the same and some are weaker than others. You might have just got a bad overclocker. Its like a lottery.
