g3258 vs 4170 (960 4gb)

I'm planning to upgrade to an i7 around next year september but for now what would be my best option to get me through the next couple of months? I'm aiming for the lowest price possible. Btw the graphics card i'll be using is a windforce edition gtx 960 4gb from Gigabyte. Thanks

i3-4170 is much more powerful than the Pentium. Even when overclocked, the pentium can quite reach i3's performance.
