G3258 VS Phenom II x4 955 Black edition

Hello!

Can somebody explain me why i need to choose the g3258, these 2 CPU-s work on 3.2 ghz, g3258 have 2 , 955 have 4 cores, if i count i think 955 is better but every statistics say g3258 is knocked out the 955.

I want use one of them for gaming, so pls help me find out whats the better:

CPU: G3258
MOBO: H81M-VG4 (only 2 slots for ram)
RAM: 2x2GB 1333Mhz

CPU: Phenom II x4 955 black edition
MOBO: Asrock M3A790GXH / 128M
RAM: 4x2GB 1333Mhz

Every statistics says G3258 is better, because it has much better single-threaded performance and not every game can benefit from more than 2 threads, but Phenom is better in multi-threaded performance, so games like GTA 5 will run better on it, if they will run. But because 4 GB of ram is minimum these days, better to go with Phenom and 8 GB of ram.

Yeh but its looks so complicated, i overclocked my 955 to 3.6 ghz but i still have 70 fps in DOTA2, g3258 can do stable 120 fps, so i have absolutly have no idea whats going there..
