Hello, I am a beginner to cpu overclocking. I did some researches and carried on the overclock on my cpu.

cpu multiplier -> 40
cpu ring -> auto
cpu voltage -> 1.025 + 0.750 offset (adaptive)
intel c-state -> off

and everything else you can assume that I have it as default (prob in auto)

I currently have a stock cooler
but for some reason on my bios, not only the temp is exceeding 90+ and very often 100
and most importantly my voltage on my bios says its 1.8--v . where -- varies.

Am i doing something wrong?

There is no tutorial or guide specific to evga z97 ftw so I just followed asus mobo's guide.

What's even funnier is that on stock's default setting I get this when I run the prime95 test.

is it just that i just got a faulty cpu?.. =[

Please help Thank you!

=[UPDATE]==================================
here is how it looks like in my bios and my bios version is up to date.
My room temperature is <15C always. I got 3 extra fans on my case to promote better air flow.
Am i missing something?

Oh damn..
they advertised that it's enough with the stock cooler to get some good results...
I guess not? =[

I still want to know why my current cpu voltage is showing some ridiculous numbers. I'm sure (although I'm a very novice) that 1.860v would kill my cpu.
Any ideas on that?

[EDIT]
this link (tom's hardware) and many places where they said 4.1~4.2 can be achieved

I believe so....

funny thing is that it's release date is apr/2/2015
but on my msinfo32 it says 3/13/2015
but i believe it's that one that I downloaded and installed not while ago
