G4600 gaming build

Hi folks,

Trying to build a cheapish pc for simple gaming. Will G4600 do the job or should I go for coffee lake (or refresh) pentium/celeron chips?

Not planning to install a graphics card

You would get more from a Ryzen 3 2200G, and it has four cores.

That said, the 2400G's Vega 11 gfx would be a step up from the 2200G's Vega 8 gfx. Also get the fastest RAM for whatever CPU you choose, as it affects the speed of the onboard gfx. Also consider the possibilities of a small, inexpensive gfx card:

just trying to see what I can put together with cheapest parts attainable and adequate performance. budget about $200-250 for the whole system

I meant building the whole system for $200-250 from used parts. Not just the cpu/mobo
