Hello,

I purchased a Logitech G502 today after looking at the reviews.

I have two questions please.

First, I am new to gaming and I have seen reviews that say some use DPI settings of 1600 and 800 for "sniping". After installing the software it appears that these settings are awfully low for this mouse. What settings do most use for the G502?

Also, I wanted to see what he weight would be like to install the enclosed weights and the door will not shut? I have tried to check that I installed the weights correctly and it will still not shut. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'll be honest, DPI is not as important as you might imagine, it's just a giant number that people will often associate with higher = better. This is not true.

What DPI setting you find most comfortable will vary from what I like. It comes down to personal preference.

Now having a DPI over 1000 is straight up too sensitive for me, I found about 750 DPI and 1000hz report rate for my 502 to be alright, however my freind likes his mouse more sensitive and would use roughly 1200, even up to 3000 DPI.

I personally didn't use any of the weights, but I know people who do. I had no issues wedging my little weights in the mouse to try them out, so I can't really help there.

the 502 is a good mouse, I personally didn't like the shape and recently bought the 602.

Hope this helps a little.

Thank you very much for this very informative reply.

I also am still looking at the G602, but I got the G502 because of the better specs.

However, if high DPI really does not matter I may still go that direction too.
