g5400 + 1060 6gb combo

I just want to ask if this combo can do good in 1080p gaming. What are the pros and cons. Thanks a lot!

the 1060 (6 GB) is a very good card, but, you will be held back several FPS in most well-threaded modern games by a 2c/4t CPU design....

I'd fight hard to jump to at least the i3-8100 (4c/4t), if the i5-8400 is out of cost reach....
