G73SW-XA1 Decent for gaming?

I was looking around for a decent gaming laptop but i wasn't really planning on buying anything since my budget is around $800-$1000 and i didn't think i would be able to get a decent gaming laptop for that price, i was looking on ebay and found what i think is a great deal: A factory refurbished Asus G73SW-XA1 for $830 + $30 shipping, definitely the best laptop i have seen within my price range.

I currently use a custom build desktop for gaming and i am very happy with it, it is not the best desktop around but i have been able to play mostly every game out there on high settings with no problems, if this asus laptop is even close to the performance of my desktop i would buy it in a heatbeat.

Can anyone tell me how this laptop compares to my desktop?

Do you guys think this laptop is way inferior to my desktop? I am open to suggestions and if you guys think there is a better laptop in my price range i would appreciate the input.

Your desktop destroys it, usually you can't compare laptops to desktops anyway.
