G840 vs i3 2100

Would a light user notice much differance between the 2 Cpu s G840 vs i3 2100??

It depends what you mean by light user. Some users will not notice much difference between a pentium 4 and an i7 but most will.

Its for my mother for web , photos , maybe tv online.

Dont think she will notice differance but just checking G840 isnt a duffer like i've been told the old Pentium Ds were?

Most likely with that usage model she won’t see much of a difference between the Intel® Pentium G840 and the Intel Core® i3-2100. Now if she starts to do a little gaming, photo editing, digital encoding she might see a difference.
