pretty simple:
i really want a g933 but its seams like 7.1 only works in wireless mode
not when using the 3.5mm jack
i cant find anything on this other then answers from logitech support that doesent answer the quistion

Solution
Ok - the Roccat has to have the 3.5mm plugged into the usb dac to get surround sound based on the setup guide. The 933 has to be in wireless mode (to use its usb dac) also - see page 12:
http://www.logitech.com/assets/55393/logitech-g933-artemis-spectrum.pdf
"Some features, including 7.1 surround sound, on-headset buttons, volume wheel operation, and customization of lighting and button functions are not available without USB connection. Boom micp is not available for 3.5mm device while in Wireless mode."

Edit: thought you were asking if u could use 3.5mm plugged into a sound card so that's a no. As far as the 933, the usb dac doesn't appear to have 3.5mm jacks like your roccat so no on that too.

i dont have the headset at all m8
i just could not find any answers to this

Don't bother trying to find out mate - - - surround sound through headphones is a myth -- think about it, how can you get real surround sound through only two ear-pieces? That's going to be stereo at best, claims of anything more is a gimmick.

By definition, true surround sound requires multiple speakers positioned around the listener.

i know like the asus strix 7.1 that has 10 speakers but its to expensive for me and what about the g633 does it support software surround sound with cord
thats the question for me
because it seams like that the g933 only supports it true the dongle thingi

and u havent read my reply

i deos right now i got a roccat kulo 7.1 headset using 3.5 mm but on logitech support site it states that some features are disabeled when using the 3.5 such as surround sound

and thats why i wanted to now if any1 are using it with 3.5mm and surround sound

The reason you cannot get "surround sound" when just using the cable is that the Logitech software isn't able to emulate surround sound via your motherboard's audio. It can when using the USB or wireless since Logitech's hardware is being used. Just use the 7.1 mode on your motherboard audio software or use the wireless. It has nothing to do with the number of audio channels since there is only two (left and right) being supplied over the 3.5mm cable.

=??? im not using the usb thingi but directly to the motherboard soundcard and i still have surround sound
but u answerede me thx

idk i sill works just fine
yea think its realtek

Sorry for more questioms but what's you mobo make and model? I'd like to see how it's doing surround just so I can get smarter on this.

The whole reason virtual surround headset makers all include a usb dac with a software driver set is because the audio on motherboards didn't have that capability.

If that's changed I'd like to know :)

asus z170 sabertooth mark s
i think its a standard in motherboard soundcards
u know earbuds can have surround sound too right? like the roccat suva 7.1 and still
have a kontroll buttons
that means 3+ cannels true a 3,5
