GA-890GPA-UD3H rev 2.0 compatible with Am3+?

Name says it all, on the website it doesn't mention that AM3+ is supported, but a threat here

says that it can. I'm confused, I just bought an FX-8350 and I would like to know if I need to upgrade my mobo.

No, it doesn't support AM3+ CPU's. The revision 3.1 motherboard supports some AM3+ CPU's but not the FX-8350. All other revisions have no AM3+ support.

I think you will need a new motherboard since the BIOS update is only listed under v3.1.

using a BIOS firmware that is not listed under your version motherboard might brick the mobo.

best thing to do is contact Gateway directly

I know this is old thread but I just checking out Gigabyte supported CPUs they've added few on Rev1.0 and Rev2.0
including FX-4130, FX-4350, & FX-6350 however for "Since BIOS Version" field says N/A so at least those are not supported as Gigabyte claims
