I just picked up this board today. They didn't have the non video 965p board so I went with this. I've got an EVGA 8800 GTS video card and won't be using the onboard graphics. I am not an OC'r. How is this board performance wise vs. the 965P keeping in mind I'm not using the onboard graphics and will likely not be overclocking.

They are the same. Oc the same and everything. If I had the choice when I bought my DS3 I wish I could of got that one because if you ever have video probs you can use onboard.

I have a DS3 as well as the Striker I'm using. The GA-965P DS3 seemed a solid board but couldn't run my Promos based Dominator ram @ 4-4-4-12 SPD timings. However, even @ 5-4-4-12 timings it seemed decent enough and will make a great spare.

I only used the built in OC utilities and they seemed to work very well. I'd recommend upgrading to the F7 or later bios but I think you've got a solid board.

Are integrated graphics boards making a come back in the enthusiasts field? I think UPnP accidently started a trend. IG boards and highend GC's. Makes sense to me.

I wanted the onboard video only as as backup option from the beginning. I previously had an ASUS P5B Deluxe board that I had to return to Fry's because I had nothing but problems such as memory incompatibility, boot problems, etc. This board is rock solid out of the box and installation was a breeze.

BTW - Does Gigabyte have telephonic tech support? I checked around their web site and it seemed you could only contact them by email.
