[SOLVED] GA-970A-D3 mobo - wanted to install a Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND M.2 Type 2280 Internal SSD?

How would I go about installing a Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND M.2 Type 2280 Internal SSD in my gigabyte mobo GA-970A-D3 (if at all possible).

Short of buying an add-on adapter for it, you can't... if that board doesn't have an M.2 slot. Why not a SATA 2.5" drive?

The SATA drive with the enclosure is $10 more --> Crucial MX500 500GB SATA 2.5" 7mm
I was just going to buy it because it was a good deal, when adding $10 to it, the deal isn't so great anymore.

Crucial MX500 500GB 2.5" model usually costs less than M.2 model.

I'm confused. You're looking at getting both? The 2.5" and the M.2?
If not, those prices are way too high for a 500GB SSD of either format. Unless that is a combo price.
