Which one is better for that system?
cpu: amd fx8350
psu: corsair cx750
gpu: radeon r9 280x
ram: corsair vengeance pro ddr3 1866mhz 2x4gb cl9
case: zalman z12 plus
hdd: wd black sata3 1tb 7200rpm 64mb cache
ssd:later...

i know 990fx is better than 970, but which mobo is better without cf now?
what's the other differences? is 970 gaming reliable?

or should i stick with asus, and go for m5a97 evo?

If you have ZERO plans of crossfiring/sli then you can go with either board as you want. If xfire or SLI is a maybe down the road, backburner, idea you might want to try - then grab the 990fx board.

what about overclocking and heating? is there any bottleneck problems when using overclocked 8350-8320 with 970 mobos?
