GA-AX370-Gaming K5 and Ryzen 2600x

I was checking the parts i wanted to buy for my build and saw that the AX370 K5 wasnt going to work with the 2600x unless i update the bios so my question is:

can i still update the bios with the 2600 or do i need to get an older ryzen cpu?

P.S. I think i'm just going to buy the cheapest AM4 A-series or second hand Ryzen 1000.

The cheaper AMD B450 series motherboards should be hitting the shelves soon. Those are supposed to natively support the Ryzen 2xxx series CPUs out of the box.
