GA-B75M-D3V mobo weird compatibility

In the past i had GPU on pci express 3.0 and it didn't work...now i;m thinking if this was the cause * The PCI Express x16 slot supports up to PCI Express 2.0 standard when an Intel 32nm (Sandy Bridge) CPU is installed. because i wanna order a new gpu and i don't wanna be stuck with pci express 2.0
also i have this CPU Intel Core i5-3340, LGA 1155, 6MB, 77W (BOX) which 22nm.

Is there any workaround for this?

Hello... There are only so many PCIe lanes from the MB to the CPU... your MB and CPU do not provide a "hardwired" PCIe3.0 to your GPU.

Hello... The lanes need to to hardwired to the CPU... Thus a larger socket/pin CPU/MB can/will have this option. Hello... It's Kind of a Consumer sell point for GPU's... " Wow!!! PCIE3.0!!! "
But the Consumer level MB's and CPU's are not "Ready for Prime Time" ( Hardwired ) for it... PCIe is a fast communication mode that is being used for other things between your MB and CPU.
