As the topic says 2 short beeps, then reboots. If there was going to be a 3rd beep I wouldn't know, because it reboots after the 2nd beep. Just repeats this until I power off the PSU. No OC'ing was done on this board. Thinking there was a short in it somewhere so I took the mb out of the case(disconnected everything).

Reseated cpu/hs, reset cmos, plugged in cpu hs, cpu power, mb power, then took out all but 1 memory stick, inserted power switch wire. The problem still persisted...

It ran fine for several weeks then bsod several times saying something about resetting my graphics...

Any and all help is appreciated...thanks!

Mmm I had a similair problem on my old dell computer, and the problem ended up being that the new graphics card I had bought was incompatible with the motherboard.
Try putting in a different graphics card and see if the computer works with out the 4850.
PS: Im interested in your answer since I have the same mother board and was planning on buying that card.

Hope your problem gets fixed :)

Check your settings in the bios, make sure you have things like floppy drive turned off if you don't have 1, and make sure that if overclocking it didn't reset itself and it's trying to tell you it did.

I would start with the video card, if you have a 2nd one laying around, try it. Also I would check your power supply, if you have a 2nd one laying around, try that as well.

rocket_sauce ami bios beep code :2 short beeps = Your computer has
memory problems. First, check video. If video is working, you’ll see
an error message. If not, you have a parity error in your first 64K
of memory. Check your SIMMs. Reseat them and reboot. If this doesn’t
do it, the memory chips may be bad. You can try switching the first
and second bank memory chips. First banks are the memory
banks in which your CPU finds its first 64K of base memory. You’ll
need to consult your manual to see which bank is first. If all of
your memory tests good, you probably need to buy another
motherboard.hope this helps you out.

Gb has Award BIOS:
1 short: System boots successfully
2 short: CMOS setting error
1 long, 1 short: Memory or motherboard error
1 long, 2 short: Monitor or graphics card error
1 long, 3 short: Keyboard error
1 long, 9 short: BIOS ROM error
Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly
Continuous short beeps: Power error
Corsair is famous for problems w/GB; first try one stick at a time in first slot;
go to
http://www.memtest.org/#downiso
to get memtest, make a bootable CD, & run it for at least a few hours, preferably overnight; if niether stick will allow boot, repost & I'll try to help you w/downclock settings...

Good luck!
