GA-EP45-DS3L and E7300 help

Hello this is my first time O.C and i wanted to O.C this CPU from 2.66GHz to 3.0GHz and I am using the stock HSF

My specs are :

Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Wolfdale
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P45
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066
Seagate Barracuda 7200
OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W

Any help would be appreciated.

hurmmm ive Ocd my younger brother cpu intel c2d e6300 stock speed 1.8ghz to 2.8ghz with gigabyte motherboard ep43 ds3l and i assume yours are twice better than my bro was cause urs are ep45 ...

here the specs:
intel c2d e6300 conroe 2.8ghz
gigabyte ep43 ds3l
corsair dorminator 1066 2x 1gb

here my setting

motherboard fsb 400mhz
memory 250a @ 1000
cpu voltage 1.3volt
and dun forget get a nice cpu cooler for ocing such as

zalman cnps9700 65$, coolermaster v8 62$, thermalright ultra 120 68$, coolermaster hyper 212 38$, artic cooling freezer extreme 54$, i assume you can afford it cause all cost below 72$..

Have you encountered the Stickies that may assist you in achieving your goal. Overclocking is more than changing the clock

speeds to something someone else had success with and expecting similar results. Here is my best advice right now, take

some time read this STICKY - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/240001-29-howto-overclock-quads-duals-guide . It is

kind of hiding at the very top of the Overclocking page in large bold letters so I can understand if you missed it. After you

have read this, feel free to ask more in depth questions and we will happily answer them.
