GA-EP45-UD3P and subeam core contact freezer

I've read that they don't fit well, if at all. Has anyone been able to get these to fit together?

I've fit them together. It took some pressing action and some frustration. I ended up connecting the end closest to the motherboard heatsink on the north bridge first. Only then was I able to make the connection work.
