Last night my computer booted into the bios wanting to flash and while it was updating or flashing the bios the breaker for this room switched off and turned the computer off. Tried restarting but I ge no display, and no beeps or anything. This mobo is less than 6 months old. And it's got dual bios but nothing I've tried seems to get me anywhere. I've tried removing the CMOS battery (haven't replaced it yet because nobody is open today). I've tried different power cycles that I've seen in videos but that doesn't seem to work either. Is there anything else that I can try? I've only used this computer a dozen times since I've owned it so I'd hate to have to replace the mobo after such little use.

You can put the same battery back in -- they last years. You have a real big problem if your motherboard won't boot from the backup of the dual bios once you put the battery back in.

The first bios that was updating when the power went out is toast -- that is just one reason that everyone should have an uninterruptable power supply (UPS), although your dual bios may save your bacon this time.

The thing I can't figure out yet is how to get it to boot up using the backup bios. It seems like this board has all these features.. but I just can't seem to rub it the right way to get it to work. I've also tried plugging in a USB into the back that has the flash and bios on it but that hasn't seemed to work either. The other issue I'm concerned about is that if I replaced this mobo with the same one I'd have to get a new chip to flash so it could go from fm2 to fm2+ it seems.
