The problem is narrowed down to my 9800pro AIW. When this card is inserted
the system wont boot, no beeps no nothing. The 9800pro was working fine in
previous system. When my old 8500 AIW is inserted everything is fine. Any
ideas?

Thanks, Kim

New 500w power supply. I did try several different power connections.

I disabled the onboard audio and swapped back to the 9800pro and it works!
Did that really cause the problem? I don't know but Im not going to switch
the bios back to find out. What a difference a day makes.

Here are a few thoughts:
Check fro shared IRQ. even today, not all cards can share IRQ with
onboard audio.
check power connections: there are 2 on this mobo.

now that the 9800 pro is in, go ahead and turn on the sound - set pnp to
auto. it may reassign to a new IRQ.

Used to have issues like this on my old VIA KX133 and Geforce DDR.
